Dalebrook house was destroyed by fire in 1918. The Council created Dalebrook road with 6 erven. Architect Mello Damstra built a home and in 1920 it was sold to James Donnelly who extended the ground floor and built another storey in 1921.

This was the well known Innisfail Hotel which was sold by his son in 1968.
